It is essential that you have one or the other within the first few weeks of being in ReNew.

Additional Information to Remember

If your six points of identification have expired and/or differ in spelling/address, you WILL NOT be able to obtain needed identification before you fix this

The MVC can sometimes be painfully slow—plan to be there for a couple of hours

At the MVC, you can also do a number of other things including:

  • Change of Address

  • Name Chance

  • Driver History Records

  • Obtain Commercial Driver’s License

  • Driver Programs

  • Organ Donor

  • Voter Registration

  • Next-of-Kin Registry

Typically, cars in NJ need to be inspected every five years

All registered vehicles in NJ need three types of mandatory insurance:

  • Liability Insurance

  • Personal Injury Protection (PIP)

  • Uninsured Motorist Coverage
